I have finally made the effort to seek out fellow Harley riders. I've been a member to the local chapter since October 2008. However I have not met anyone or gone to any of the events. I received an email last week stating the 1st Ladies of Harley meeting will be held Wednesday evening at Danielle's house and gave her address. I decided it was time (in my hectic schedule) that I make time to meet other ladies who ride.
I'm sure glad I went. Not only was everyone there so pleasant, but they have a bunch of events on the agenda already. There was a guest speaker named Karla selling essential oils with her company Butterfly Mountain. I asked if she had a website, she did not, so I offered to create one for her for cheap (just doing it as a hobby at this point). They were taking suggestions for other events during the monthly meetings, and I mentioned that I sell jewelry; now I'm on schedule to have a jewelry party for the meeting in February. Also in February there is a sweetheart's ride (must find that sweetheart first). I also found out the entire chapter rides together every Friday night (I'll have to go to some of these). Charley Daniels is coming to town in March and I found out I can volunteer for the event and see him LIVE !!! YAY!!! Lastly, they are organizing the collection of Harley t-shirts to cut up and make 2 blankets from to auction off by raffle at some event (can't recall the name of it at the moment).
I have found a new passion!! More things for me to do =)
